At one time, prior to the 1960s, a family meant one home, one mother, one father. Discipline meant a good paddling to instill structure. Speak up against your parents and you got in trouble. Even schools gave paddlings to students who caused trouble. Marriage meant forever. Divorce was unheard of, if not taboo. Today. One in three kids see only one parent, or none at all. Try to disciple your child and you will get thrown into jail. Kids speak out, speak rudely, and are disrespectful to others in public. And divorce on demand is ok? Where has strong family values gone? Are we on the pathway to anarchy and unrest without a strong family unit? Or can strong united families make a comeback?
